What happens when Lenny the mischievous springer spaniel spills three barrels of classic aromatic white wines together? Well here’s your answer - a stunning wine with a complex aroma & flavours of apples & pears (the barrel of Pinot Gris) lime & lemons (a barrel of Riesling) & a little spiciness (our barrel of Gewurztraminer)! These delightful grapes were grown in the cool climate of the famed Gibbston Valley. Each variety was fermented in separate barrels (watch out for Lenny!) before being delicately blended and allowed to cold settle for two months before bottling. A wonderful handcrafted boutique wine.

This medal winning cheeky little red is as delicate as a pack of forwards in a bar brawl. It’s a full on, in-your-face confrontation just waiting to happen as soon as you uncork and release this amazing Burgundian fruit bomb. Luscious, rich berry tones tempered with cherry, produce a distinctive agricultural nose. Finicky chocolate lab Milo checked the grapes for quality and tenacious Henry J. Dog was responsible for pest control. Grown in Bannockburn, NZ’s premiere Pinot region and aged in oak, this is a wine especially made for Pinot devotees. Delightful now, even better in a few years!

Pinot Gris 2009

This classically dry white wine has delicate citrus blossom aromas layered with pear & Central Otago stonefruit on the palate. The success of our 2009 vintage would not have been possible without brother & sister springer combination Lenny & Lucy meticulously opening up the vine canopy whilst chasing birds! This allowed for great air circulation in the Bannockburn vineyard! The handpicked fruit was crushed then left to allow the release of aromatics and texture before pressing. A Central summers day would not be the same without enjoying a DDR Pinot Gris in the afternoon sun.
